Our MB-79N and MB-86N windows have received RC2 and RC3 anti-burglary safety certificates

From now on, it is possible to order two of our most popular aluminium systems in configurations that meet rigorous anti-burglary safety standards.

All our window and door systems are equipped with burglary protection, but RC safety classes offer much more. They guarantee that breaching the window will be a challenge not only for a casual intruder but also for someone who prepares thoroughly for a break-in.

Which windows received the certificates?

"Currently, two of our most popular systems, MB-79N and MB-86N, offer enhanced security levels. The first one is a more economical option, while the second is ideal even for passive construction. Burglary protection does not affect other performance parameters of aluminium windows”, emphasises Michał Obrusnik, aluminium product manager.

What do RC safety classes offer?

"Resistance classes provide assurance that windows not only look sturdy but are genuinely resistant to break-in attempts,” says Michał Obrusnik. "RC2 provides real but still basic protection, suitable for ground-floor windows, for instance. RC3 is recommended for locations where there is a higher risk of burglary, such as these associated with business operations. Importantly, customers can opt for RC3 class if they so desire.”

The only thing worth keeping in mind is the technological limitations related mainly to the size of the window. Achieving burglary resistance requires, among other things, the use of a greater number of anti-burglary strikes in the fittings, which may sometimes be impossible for objective reasons.

What is the difference between RC2 and RC3 classes?

RC2 guarantees that an attacker equipped with simple tools such as screwdrivers and wedges will have to spend at least 3 minutes to break through the window. For RC3, heavier tools, like a robust crowbar, will be necessary, and the time to breach the window will be at least 5 minutes. This process will also be much noisier, making it harder to execute the break-in discreetly.
