The primary purpose of screen blinds is to protect against the excess sun. They can eliminate most excess light without completely darkening the room, as with typical curtain roller blinds. What's more, it is possible to choose a fabric that will let in the amount of light that suits the needs of the individual customer and the space.
Due to its relatively low weight, a screen blind system can be easily installed in the way that suits the investor best. These can be classic surface-mounted boxes or window recess installations, or the blind can be placed under the plaster in the manner typical of flush-mounted blinds. It is also possible to adapt the way the fabric is guided. It is done by weighing it down or by using dedicated guides in the Screen system or with a system using a cord (availability depending on the system).
An outstanding advantage of screen blinds is the possibility to adapt their colouring to the requirements of the building in which they will be installed. The cassette and guides made of aluminium can be powder-coated in any colour from the RAL palette. This allows almost free customization. A wide choice also applies to the material, although the range of options can be narrower. The options available depend on the system chosen.
External screen blinds can utilise drives with convenient control mechanisms. The simplest of these are the classic wired drives using a manually operated switch to raise and lower the curtain. Radio-controlled solutions employ a remote control, one device or more, which allows the blinds to be brought up or down from a distance. The most modern smart solutions control the roller shutters via mobile applications and from software installed on computers.
Screen blinds are external roller blinds whose primary function is to protect the interior from excess solar radiation. This results in increased comfort when using the space without completely blocking it out and reduced air conditioning costs. Lightweight and easy to install, screen blinds are particularly recommended for protecting expansive glazing in residential properties and commercial spaces.
