Eko-Okna supports young talents

For two years, Eko-Okna has been happily supporting the activities of the Ognisko Pracy Pozaszkolnej in Wodzisław Śląski. How? The company provides the facility with post-production wood waste, which then goes into the hands of young artists. This allows children to develop their creativity, and Eko-Okna proudly observes how their support brings joy and inspires the creation of extraordinary projects.

The collaboration with OPP is not only a support for talented youth but also an expression of Eko-Okna's commitment to the environment. By donating unused wooden window profile parts, the company gives new life to the materials and avoids generating additional waste. Eko-Okna strengthens its mission of sustainable development by promoting an eco-friendly approach to resource management, where every piece of wood becomes part of the creative process.

On 7 October 2024, a special ceremony took place, during which Ognisko Pracy Pozaszkolnej No. 1 officially changed its name to the Centre for Science, Technology, and Arts Education. This event gathered many guests, including representatives of local schools, the Copernicus Science Centre, and sponsors such as Eko-Okna. As one of OPP’s partners, the company proudly participated in this symbolic moment, highlighting the importance of educational initiatives in the region.

In addition to the name change, the event celebrated the opening of a new music studio, funded by the "Przewroty" award. This will enrich the educational offer with new opportunities for artistic development. Guests toured the new music studio and other active workshops: arts, ceramics and crafts, chemistry and physics, mechatronics, carpentry, sewing, and a cinema hall.

For Eko-Okna, one of the key moments of the ceremony was the presentation of the carpentry workshop, where children have the opportunity to hone their woodworking skills with the company's wood.

By providing post-production waste, we give children the opportunity to acquire practical skills in working with natural materials. We are pleased that our contribution not only develops their creativity but also strengthens our role as an environmentally conscious company. The children's innovative projects surprise us every time, motivating us to continue this initiative. It is proof that responsible business actions can harmoniously combine sustainable development with the education of future generations,” emphasises Agnieszka Mojżysz, Project Manager in the Marketing Department at Eko-Okna.
