Quad-glass package; where it can be used

Windows

We use single glazing in interiors and in the construction of balconies and railings. Double-glazed units are often installed in old buildings, and triple-glazed units are a standard in new residential, office and public buildings. The four-glass package is a variant of window joinery with the highest class of thermal and acoustic insulation. Where will it be used?

What does a four-glass package consist of?

The four-glass package, as the name suggests, is composed of four glass panes. Between them, therefore, three chambers are formed, which are filled with gas. Traditionally, argon is used, but the use of krypton in the inter-pane spaces increases the insulating parameters of the glazing. Equipping windows with a warm distance frame in conjunction with the Energeto 8000 system means that the window joinery configured in this way has a maximally reduced heat transfer coefficient. Thus, it gains the best possible technical parameters on the market.

Who is the four-glass package for?

The four-glass package is dedicated to every investor who wants to equip the building with tight and silent windows. The greater the number of glass panes and chambers in the window, the greater the level of thermal insulation we gain. Windows are one of the key elements that help keep your home warm. In the case of passive construction, with high requirements for the energy balance of the house, investors take care of every detail. Of course, four-glass windows can also be used in energy-saving buildings, i.e. (in accordance with current standards) in virtually every new project.

An energy efficient house has an annual energy consumption that is less than 40 kWh / sq m, but greater than 15 kWh / sq m. In the case of a passive house, in accordance with the adopted standards, the annual energy demand for heating may not exceed 15 kWh / sq m. In passive construction, we use very little energy - houses are actually self-sufficient. They are not equipped with an active heating or air-conditioning system. In low-energy houses, energy is actively obtained from natural (renewable) sources.

Is it worth installing a four-glass package at home?

In the case of passive construction, the optimal woodwork is actually the obvious choice. What about other types of houses? A quadruple-glazed package is a proportionally higher cost. Is it worth it? If the investor has a budget for passive window joinery - yes, it is worth considering its installation. The better the insulation we provide, the less it will cost us to heat the building later. In the long term, it pays off to fight for lower heat losses, but remember that we will save if we take care of comprehensive thermal insulation. If the heat escapes through the walls, floor or inadequately made ventilation - we will not fully use the possibilities offered by four-glass packages. It is also worth considering the installation of woodwork with four panes in the case of houses that are located close to a busy street. Solid windows provide not only thermal but also acoustic comfort.
