Steel reinforcement for uPVC profiles

Windows

Most uPVC profiles used to manufacture windows, doors and sliding systems require steel reinforcement to function properly.

The reinforcement is placed inside the profiles to ensure their rigidity. Various windows use diverse reinforcements, which must meet several requirements to fulfil their function.

Above all, the shape and thickness of the steel must correspond to the recommendations for the profile system. For non-standard windows, they will be larger and thicker. But in every case, the steel should be coated with a sufficiently thick layer of hot-dip galvanising to protect against corrosion. The reinforcement should be securely fastened to the profile, used in its entirety, and fill the profile's length.
