The awarded companies are growing faster than the entire economy – such comments could be heard after the award ceremony of the „Rzeczpospolita” Eagles.
For the twentieth time, Rzeczpospolita has prepared a list of the 500 largest Polish enterprises. The list of 500 is compiled on the basis of copies of financial statements and questionnaires containing financial data. The ranking alone shows the extent to which a given company has developed during the year, what financial result it achieved, what expenses it incurred for wages and investments. Experts preparing the ranking also take into account the change in companies' revenues and the share of exports in sales.
The company Eko-Okna, which has had a permanent place in the ranking for several years, this year took a high, 315th position. Compared to the previous year, the company's revenues increased by 45%. No wonder that the company was also nominated for the "Rzeczpospolita" Eagles. In the "manufacturing companies" category, it fought for the top trophy with four other companies.
„It was a pleasant surprise that the main prize was just in our hands. In recent years, we have developed in every field and we are happy that our work is recognized and rewarded. When I say "our work" I mean the work of thousands of people, our business partners, associates and employees. They deserve congratulations above all” says Adam Rybak, president of Eko-Okna S.A., who received the statuette on behalf of the company.
During the official gala held on June 18 in Warsaw, the statuettes were presented in four categories. Apart from the President of Eko-Okna (the "production companies" category), the highest trophy was received by the Presidents of companies such as the Warta Group ("financial services" category), eobuwie.pl S.A. (category "trade and non-financial services") and Sii sp. z o.o. (category „new technologies”).
„Each edition of the list is a contribution to reflection on the position of the Polish economy also on the world stage” emphasizes prof. Andrzej K. Koźmiński, founder of the Kozminski University, member of the chapter.
„In 2017, these companies grew faster than the entire economy, especially the leaders” added the organizers.
The gala, during which the „Rzeczpospolita” Eagles were presented, was accompanied by awards for the winners of the 4th edition of the Economic Patriotism Index ranking.
